About Our Bodhrans
We often get requests to create personalised bodhrans. These designs may be for a special occasion such as an engagement or wedding present, the birth of a child with the name and date of birth or a special anniversary or indeed for a special Christmas present. The designs can be created to fit with the branding of hotels, bars, restaurants and other public places by including their name and logo.
The designs are extensive and all are completed by Paul (no transfers).
You can order your own personalised bodhran on the Personalised Drum page, where you pick your base bodhran size and the type of Celtic design. We will then contact you via email or phone to discuss the design and delivery date.

All Tuneable Bodhrans are made from start to finish by Paul - all come complete with wooden hand-turned tuner and hardwood beater. All bodhrans on our webpage are made from start to finish by Paul McAuley. We have recently updated our webpage and in an effort to streamline our range of products available have reduced the lines available.
We specialise in Tuneable bodhrans and also two different sizes in the fixed skins. We have a Glenariffe 15" and Glentaisie 18" fixed skin where a simple Celtic Design can be applied along with a name and/or date making it a unique gift. We also make the Glenshesk/Glenarm and Glencloy 15" and Glendun and Glenann 18" tuneables with a variety of rim depths. A single-bar can be fitted but can be removed if desirable - please contact Paul via email to confirm if you want a bar fitted, otherwise your order will be completed without a bar. All tuneables are signed by Paul and come complete with a hand-turned wooden tuner key and one beater. The rim finishes we produce are Ebony, Natural Birch, Mahogany and Medium Oak so if you have a preference please contact us and we will certainly complete your order to your requirements. With experience we have found the Ebony finish to be the most popular rim finish.
Bags are available but contact us before ordering to ensure correct size ordered.
The vast amount of our bodhrans are made to order so we would ask purchasers to be patient when ordering as our design are all applied by hand, by Paul - (no transfers). We make each bodhran with care and precision and trust clients will appreciate the time involved in perfecting these instruments.
